Erase Stubborn Wrinkles and Lines
Stubborn wrinkles and lines need more than creams and serums to vanish – they need Dysport.
Dysport is the latest FDA-cleared anti-aging injectable designed to treat stubborn lines and wrinkles along the forehead and around the eyes. Like its counterpart Botox, Dysport contains a safe neurotoxin that paralyzes muscles at the injection site. This effect causes the skin above the muscles to relax, thus smoothing out the appearance of even the most stubborn lines and wrinkles.
Dysport anti-aging injections are now available at MDCosmedX Laser & Lipo Center in Bowling Green, KY.
What Happens During the Treatment?
Dysport is a straightforward injectable treatment. Before your procedure, you and your practitioner will discuss your goals for Dysport injections. Your practitioner will also determine how much Dysport you’ll need to achieve those goals. Dysport is cheaper than Botox per unit; however, more units may be necessary to treat severe wrinkles.
The injection procedure itself takes anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area. You may need to return for a second session for any touch-ups once the Dysport has settled.
Does the Treatment Hurt?
As Dysport is an injectable, some patients do experience minor discomfort. However, a topical numbing cream can be applied to help manage any discomfort. After the injection procedure, patients should expect to experience some minor pain, bruising, and swelling at the injection site. These side effects usually resolve themselves within the first week post-procedure.
Is There Any Downtime?
There is no downtime associated with Dysport injections. Patients should expect to see immediate results, with final results visible in one to two weeks. Dysport results typically last for about six months.
